Your muscles are 70% water. Your blood is 82% water. Even your bones are a quarter water. The most important component of your body is water. The quality of your muscles, bones, organs and brain, their resistance to disease and longevity is absolutely dependent on the PURITY of the water that you drink and tap water is contaminated.

Water treatment authorities clean water to minimum standards. They test for only 30-40 chemicals, and then try to remove about half that number. Then they add chlorine and aluminum, chemicals that have no place in our bodies. Many water treatment plants are obsolete and the resources are not there to clean the more than 60,000 different chemicals that now contaminate our water supplies. Last week reports came out that Ontario was North America’s second largest polluter, right behind Texas. When it comes to clean water the “Great Lakes” are not so great right now.

This should convince you to get clean water but caveat emptor. Bottled water is not regulated. Look for distilled water or get a multiple-filter reverse osmosis system. Again, caveat emptor and insist on a water purification test comparing your present tap water with the new filtered water. It should have less than 30 ppm of contaminants.

Tip: A shower head filter will remove chlorine as this is where you get most of it. As you shower, the warm water opens your pours and allows much more chlorine to enter into you than you would get from drinking it (8).
